For nearly two decades, Good Neighbor Care has specialized in caring for seniors with a variety of special needs. Our long history gives us an advantage and some unique insights for assisting fully independent residents as well as those with specialized care requirements.
With nearly fifty communities all across America, Good Neighbor Care offers a variety of residence options and services. Some are exclusive memory care communities while others offer multiple levels of care from estate-like, fully independent retirement apartments to nurturing assisted living communities.
Independent Living ~
Many Good Neighbor Communities offer fully independent living with many amenities typically not available in a traditional apartment, such as housekeeping and foodservice. In addition, families have the security of knowing that assistance is available on-site for their loved ones in case it is ever needed.
Assisted Living ~
As needs change, the choices made early on can significantly decrease the stress and trauma involved in moving to a different community, changing familiar routines and changing staff. Good Neighbor Care offers a range of services in our Assisted Living Communities that can accommodate the changing levels of care residents may need.
As with all of our communities, a safe, secure and stimulating environment is key to the success of Good Neighbor Care. From housekeeping and carefully prepared, nutritious meals to administering medications and assisting in other day-to-day living activities, Good Neighbor Care is ready to serve.
Memory Loss & Alzheimer's ~
Good Neighbor Communities have been providing award-winning care to those stricken with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory loss for decades. We are unique because of our philosophy "Caring the Good Neighbor Way." This philosophy is a specialized program of care designed to promote dignity and freedom of choice for our residents and to provide opportunities for growth and personal satisfaction for employees.
Central to this program is our building plan. Our non-institutional homes and residential settings are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of those with all forms of memory loss.
Every Good Neighbor Memory Care Community offers safe, secure environments that support freedom of choice for every resident. Our homes and programs easily accommodate individual needs for such things as dining and sleeping habits that can vary from person to person. In addition to our bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, there are quiet spaces for relaxing and other spaces for socializing. Each community provides the opportunity and specialized space for residents to spend time out of doors in safe, secure areas.
Providing meaningful and stimulating activities is part of our program. Activities take place in the homes, out of doors and on outings in the community as part of our regular program of care.
Staffing is essential to Good Neighbor Care's success. We train our staff to meet each resident's special and individual needs. We have many programs designed to help our employees grow in their ability to care for and understand our residents.
At Good Neighbor Care we know how to meet the challenges presented by the very special group of people we serve because this is what we have always done. We believe we have created a better way The Good Neighbor Way.
